Fraud against and within ORER
Fraud reduces the effectiveness of the Government's policies and programs which assist Australian industry, and it is the responsibility of ORER and its stakeholders to prevent program benefits and privileges from being misused.
Reporting fraud
ORER has defined fraud against the Commonwealth as:
'Dishonestly obtaining a benefit by deception or other means.'
The definition includes both tangible and intangible benefits.
ORER is determined to ensure that when fraud occurs, it is rapidly detected, effectively instigated, prosecuted appropriately and the proceeds of the fraud recovered.

Anonymous
Reports can be made anonymously. ORER accepts reports that are anonymous; however it is often the case that such reports do not contain sufficient information to enable a proper assessment of the allegation.
